Daily Tip: Sometimes you need a few peanut M&M's before you must do the thing you think you cannot do.
"At some stages of your life you will deal with things and at others you are overwhelmed with misery and anxiety." ~ Nigella Lawson
There are days in the life of all people and not just those of us with ADD/ADHD when we feel overwhelmed with all the things we have to do.
It can stress one to the max.
Although I am not a big advocate of using food as a drug to relieve stress, I do think on occassion, in order to get the impetus to continue and the strength to move on, one could use a little pick-me-up.
Yesterday afternoon, during an intense housekeeping moment, I had such a taste treat in the form of a tiny bag of Peanut M&M's.
It was like a mini taste-vacation.
It helped me to carry on.
When the going gets tough, do yourself a favor, and find something that makes you feel a little less stressed.
It may be a refreshing drink of water, stepping outside for a breath of fresh air, a phone-call to a friend or maybe a taste treat that transports you for a brief time, and makes you smile with pleasure and delight before you must do the thing you think you cannot do.
Peace,
