Please don't drink and drive

For people with ADHD time does not really connect with one's consciousness.
Tonight I was thinking about a suicide that happened last week in my town.
A guy accidentally killed two people while driving drunk. He was remorseful and killed himself.
Tonight I thought about getting behind the wheel and going to work. I had had two shots of Peach Schnapps in a large Fuzzy Navel.
It dawned on me, I am tipsy. I almost went to work with no thought of being high.
I almost drove to work. If I were pulled over, I would have been busted!!!!
I could have crashed into someone. I did not think. It's always go! go! go!
From now on, this reminds me to slow down and think! I don't want to re-enact a story that
happens too often, when people forget they shouldn't drive.

Auto-Pilot ADHD

Is it the ADHD? I can't wait. No. It is too hard to wait. I just noticed my attention-span go into auto-pilot.

Killing Wanderlust

Did not indulge in a haul today. Instead, stayed close to home, went to library, cleaned the bathroom and listened to a great audiobook called, "The Understudy."

Dealing with clutter is an ongoing issue for many with ADHD and ADD

Hi fellow ADD and ADHD sufferers,
I have a friend coming over today to help me with the housework.
Hopefully, things go well. Not only am I ADD, but I am a control freak, and junior hoarder.

Creative writing cure.

I have tried meds to cope with my ADHD, but now I am on the path of many other folks who did not even here about ADD or ADHD.  I have embraced creative writing, poetry and singing as my outlets.

Coping with chaos is hard when you have a cold.
Right now I am trying to recover from a bad cold.
I have set some goals for myself today.

A different tack with my blog.

Hi friends and fellow ADD/ADHD bloggers.
I am back!
I have decided to take a different approach with my blog posts.
I still want to be informative, and hopefully entertaining, but I think I am going to share experiences and adventures I have had in applying some of the suggestions I so freely offered you in past blog posts.
I have often found myself a "victim of circumstance," instead of being a goal-setter.
I have dreams and goals and do not reward myself with the "Atta-girl!" or proverbial pat on the head.
Without tracking or rewarding myself for improvements I am not very inspired to change.
There is a saying.

Your life does not get better by chance, it gets better by change.
